Job Description:

Unit Coordinator - per diem

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable the individual to perform the essential functions.

  • Maintains statistical data if applicable.

  • Assumes responsibility to complete all paperwork as designated by the charge nurse or Director.

  • Responsible for ordering appropriate amounts of office supplies for use on the floor in conjunction with the Director.

  • Demonstrates effective organizational skills by prioritizing and completing assignments within the shift.

  • Monitors charging system for floor and functions appropriately.

  • Typing/computer skills

  • Knowledge of Meditech software and medical terminology is preferred.

  • Must possess verbal and written skills to communicate effectively and courteously with a diverse group of professional and non-professional members of the health care team, patients and family/significant others.

High School Diploma or Equivalency
